Artwork Requirements:

We offer a number of different imprinting options, depending on the product and the imprint area. While art preparation varies for each method as well as for the product being produced, there are some general guidelines to follow in preparing camera-ready artwork.

Most Standard Imprinting Methods: silkscreen, color printing, digital printing, laser engraving, etc.,

Adobe Illustrator vector artwork is preferred with text converted to outlines. We can also work with EPS vector files.

If you have no idea what vector artwork is and you don't have a graphics person in your company, we may be able to work with a high resolution .jpg image of your desired imprint. All files must be at least 600 dpi resolution at final print size. Resolution cannot simply be increased in the program if working from a low resolution file. This merely spreads the original pixel information across a greater number of pixels and does not improve image quality. (Most internet images are a low resolution of 72 DPI.) Note that Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, etc.) are not graphics programs and are not acceptable forms of artwork.

Embroidery:

Embroidery is a classic and popular favorite method to decorate products year after year. It's an excellent way to add value to your next promotion. Before your design can be embroidered, it must first be digitized. This is just a technical term to describe the process involved in programming the embroidery machine to stitch your logo accurately.

NOTE: Digitized images used for other materials (such as ball caps or shirts) may need to be re-digitized to work correctly. Also, all designs to be embroidered on padfolios will require redigitizing. For embroidery, we require a 'digitized stitch file' or specifically, a Tajima DST file. If digitizing services are required, please send in art in a standard file format listed above. We will charge you based on the number of stitches needed to produce your logo / imprint. The charge for digitizing a file is typically $70 to $100 based on 4000 to 10,000 stitches.

Laser Engraving:

Laser engraving gives your logo a clean, smooth, polished appearance and is great on pens and other metal items. At times we require or provide the option of "laser oxidation" Your logo is engraved onto the product with a special process to darken the decoration. This special technique really makes your logo pop (e.g., the Lockeed example)

Domes:

To add dimension and shine to your logo, place it under a clear, high-gloss polyurethane dome. The following domes (actual sizes listed) offer a high-impact look at a low-impact price.

Deboss, Color Stamp and Color Fill:

Deboss: Also referred to as blind deboss, this classic method allows you to leave an impression--or rather, a depression-- of your logo onto a material's surface. We create a die and then heat-press it into the material. What's left behind is a clean, crisp logo you can see and feel. It's ideal on leather, durahyde and vinyl products.

Color Stamp: Add the high-end look of foil to your logo with color stamping. Simple one-color designs are enhanced when a die is used to apply colored foil to a material's surface. A wide variety of stock colors are available, including metallic gold and silver.

Color Fill: Color Fill combines color stamping and debossing. We create a die and first color stamp your logo onto the surface, and then use that same die to deboss your logo into the material. This method is available only on vinyl patches.

General:

In all cases, we reserve the right to determine if artwork is acceptable. If artwork needs to be retouched, charges may apply which will be determined before any work is done. Additional charges may apply if the artwork needs more than a half hour of additional work.

When submitting artwork, please provide specific comments regarding the location of where you'd like the imprint and how you would like it sized (e.g., "maximized to allowable imprint area", "roughly 4 inches wide", etc.)
